Women’s Ministries

“Encouraging and walking alongside women as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and one another,” is the mission statement of Women’s Ministries at First Reformed.

We enourage you to become involved in ministry by going through the following list, to check out the different ministries our church is already involved in. We are also always looking for you and your ideas of additional areas where we can build new ministries.

If you feel the Lord nudging you to become involved in any way, big or small, with the women in our church family, we would love to hear from you.

Women’s Ministries is presently looking for additional women to be a part of our leadership team. We meet once a month and spend time reviewing things we are already do and looking ahead to how we can minister to women in new ways.

Maybe you:

  • would like to be a part of the Women’s Ministries Team;
  • have a small ministry idea and need a network of people to work with;
  • have a heart for young moms and would like to lead a Bible study;
  • enjoy needlework or baking and have a project idea to share.

Whatever your desire to become involved, we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact any of the women on our committee and share your desires to become involved.  We look forward to hearing from you.

The Women’s Ministries Team: Tonia (-1064), Anne (-1354) , Amanda (-3452) and Kayla (-3999)

Through Women’s Ministries we seek to encourage the women of our congregation to glorify God by growing spiritually through Bible Study, memorization and prayer, discovering our spiritual gifts, and utilizing these gifts in service, outreach, fun, and fellowship.

  • We try to grow spiritually through Bible studies, prayer groups, memorization, small groups, circles and Sunday School classes.
  • We provide service through workgroups, mission projects, service projects, special offerings, nursery, volunteers, flower committee, Children in Covenant program, new mom’s outreach, and The Gift of a Meal program.
  • For outreach, fun, and fellowship, we have retreats, mother/daughter banquets, CARES program and a Good Friday morning breakfast.

WOMEN’S MINISTRIES has 11 Bible studies that meet and fellowship. Women’s Ministries booklets are available at the information Booth, or contact a team member: Tonia Woudstra, Amanda Hulstein, Kayla Van De Berg, and Anne Gray.

For a list of Women’s Ministries sub-committees and their contacts go to member/friends and log-in.  If you have forgotten your username and password please contact the church office or a member of the Women’s Ministry Team.  This list can also be found in the Women’s Ministry booklet, which is available at the information booth or a Women’s Ministry Team member.
